Pigeon, a very common bird widely raised around the world, is a collective term for hundreds of bird species in the pigeon family of the pigeon shaped order. The pigeon we usually refer to is just a species in the pigeon genus, and it is a domestic pigeon. The most common domestic pigeon is the carrier pigeon, mainly used for communication and racing. Pigeons have been living with humans for thousands of years, and the first pigeon image discovered by archaeologists comes from BC3000Mesopotamia, also known as Iraq.
